- In my years of experience as a PMU mentor, coach and mentor, I've come to learn that some artists lack the foundational mastery of truly understanding the LIVING CANVAS, the very material they work in every single day. This is critical because the SKIN influences the final PMU color-heal!

- Mastering the nuances of the skin is NOT just for aestheticians or skin-professionals. Skin mastery is an art that all tattooists should possess. After all, it involves the primary component of an artist's work. Without the skin, there would be no pigment implant.
- Having an elevated understanding of the eccentricities of the living canvas, will set you apart as an artist ....I guarantee it!
What All PMU Artists Should Know, To Achieve a Predictable Color-Heal:
- They should know: HOW to read the language of the unique skin-canvas in front of them & WHY that matters.
- They should know: HOW to select the TYPE of pigment for the intended PMU goal (there are 3 types of pigments) & know WHY choosing the wrong type will compromise the healed result.
- They should know: HOW to choose the appropriate needle configuration, diameter & modality to execute the intended PMU goal & WHY a mastery of needle-anatomy relates to the skin-canvas in front of you.
- They should know: The basic 101 functions of HOW the hair follicle operates. This matters because PMU artist tattoo eyebrows to fill-in sparse gaps. This is because the hair follicle has been comprised in some way & the artist should know WHY that is.
